233 million Americans use at least one social media platform, that is why you need to make sure that you make all of them work for your benefit!
First and foremost, you need to make sure you have business accounts on the most popular platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Nextdoor etc. It is important to fill them up with all the necessary information about your company, such as logo, address, email and phone numbers, area of work, and list all of the jobs you do.
Now that your company profile looks informative, you need to also make it useful and interesting for the clients. Ask yourself a question, what would be interesting for your clients?
You can fill up your profile with useful articles. For example, tell your customers about the importance of changing the AC filters and how often they should do this if you have HVAC business. Tell your customers about the latest tendencies in your field, and be one of their sources of most updated info. It will certainly help you gain trust among the existing clients, and help you bring the new ones onboard.
Another great way to keep your customers interested and engaged, would be posting pictures and videos of completed jobs. We are sure that your customers would love to see how great the result of your work can be, so you must show them! Do not forget to make sure that your pictures are not blurry or dark and look nice and light, add some filters or crop them if needed.
The frequency of your posts make a difference, too. People tend to trust the companies with active profiles, so make sure you create at least 3 posts in a week! It does not have to be a long read, a picture of the work completed or your smiling team with a short intro would do just fine!
With that said, it is always a good idea to show off your team. Don’t be shy to talk about yourself. We are sure that your customers would love to see the happy faces of your contractors and dispatchers to know who is going to take their call or come and fix the issue in the bathroom. If one of your plumbers has been in the industry for over 15 years and is absolutely passionate about it, let him tell his story on your business account, the customers would love it!
And, if your customers loved the work you did, ask them for permission to share their feedback with the picture of work done / photo of the happy customer with the technician on your account. It would be perfect if you hand over to the happy customers your business card with a few links for them to give a positive review online. And, last but not the least, remember that there is no magic in making your profile successful, but there is a lot of hard work behind every popular profile.
